The Sea Center is part of the White Abalone Captive Breeding Program. Learn about the coordinated effort to save these special marine snails on the Bodega Marine Laboratory's White Abalone Conservation page.

Report injured or distressed marine mammals in the Santa Barbara area to Channel Islands Marine & Wildlife Institute (CIMWI) via their rescue hotline at 805-567-1505 or marine mammal online rescue form.

Report any stranded or distressed whales, dolphins, or porpoises around the Santa Barbara Channel to Channel Islands Cetacean Research Unit's stranding hotline at 805-500-6220.

Report all other injured or distressed animals in the Santa Barbara area to Santa Barbara Wildlife Care Network. Call their helpline at 805-681-1080 before doing anything involving a wild animal that looks injured or in distress. Visit their I Found an Animal page for more tips.
